So we can keep you and our staff safe, we have stopped face to face contact and our careers advisers are now offering advice and support over the phone and online to students and their parents and carers.

    Going into Y12 in September and hoping to study medicine or dentistry? - the UCAT practice tests are avaiable now. Currently UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test) is not sure when the tests will run and expect testing to begin later than normal, for the latest information - 28 May 2020

    The Cambridge BMAT practice tests for biomedical courses are also available. Information about this and other Cambridge tests during the current crisis can be found on the website - 28 May 2020

  • Details on GCSE and A level exams and grades - from Ofqual the government's exam regulator. Decisions by Ofqual on how vocational, technical and other general qualifications are to be assessed are still being finalised -17 April 2020

    The Open University is offering free short courses across a range of subjects for those of you who want to explorer subjects, do a short course and get evidence to show it - 5 May 2020

    MSE’s Academy of Money - new free course from the Open University and MoneySavingExpert (MSE) to give you the skills and knowledge to manage your finances - 28 May 2020

    Prince's Trust - New 4 June 2020
    Wellbeing sessions held over four weeks, explore how wellbeing is important in our lives, mental and physical health, money, positivity and positive relationships. Starts Thursday 11 June, 1pm to 2pm.
    Live, Learn and Earn sessions, which explore employability skills, communication, confidence, money management and general well-being. Starts Tuesday 16 June, 11am to 12noon/midday.
    Both are available to 16 to 30 year olds, living within Yorkshire and Humber. Please note it is NOT necessary to attend every session of either course. To find out more about joining, contact C&K Chat.

  • Askham Bryan College and the Prince's Trust is offering an eight week Confidence Skills qualification from entry level 3 up to Level 2 (GCSE grade 4 equivalent) for 16 to 18 year olds in Calderdale and Kirklees. Students will get a £30 bursary. Starts Monday 22 June - 12 May 2020

  • Fusion Housing's community learning is now online, courses cover a range of topics, including cooking, nutrition, and health and wellbeing. You must be 19 years or over, live in Kirklees, unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week to join a course.
