  • Askham Bryan - 4 May 2020
    Still accepting and processing applications - Find out more and to apply visit the Apply Now page. See also News and FAQs for answers to your questions. The college is also holding a virtual open event week - Monday 11 May to Friday 15 May. It starts with an introduction to the college, followed by a series of Q&As alongside some pre-recorded presentations on all of its courses and support areas. Students will be able to ask questions on their course and other topics, such as transport, accommodation, learning support and applying to study. The college is setting up Zoom links for each session. If you are interested you must book onlineAs part of the booking you will receive a link through to the Find out More page. This is currently being updated with the departmental presentations to accompany the course guides and virtual tour.

  • Aspire-Igen - Updated 27 May 2020
    Taking applications to add to a waiting list for when the training centre re-opens. All current learners are in contact with Aspire-Igen and are working from home. *Aspire-Igen is hoping to reopen and welcome new and existing learners to its centres at the beginning of September, and it will aim to begin enrolling successful applicants in August.   • Babington - 4 May 2020
    Still offering apprenticeships even though recruitment has slowed down a little. Babington will help you register by taking your details and helping you update your CV, so your application is ready to go when companies begin recruiting again. Help with interview technique will also be offered. See the Babington website for details of the apprenticeships on offer - view the apprenticeship programme of interest to you then click on Become an apprentice and fill in the online form, which will then get sent through to the right person.
    Babington is also offering free online Lockdown Learning courses, in specific areas only, for anyone aged over 19. Learners from West Yorkshire interested can email for more information contact one of our careers advisers via our Chat service- see the bottom of the page, for details.

  • Barnsley College - 4 May 2020
    See details of apprenticeships offered, including current vacancies and apply online. The college is not holding face to face interviews at the moment but is still processing applications and giving conditional offers based on entry requirements.   • BHP - 6 May 2020
    The chartered accountant has offices in Sheffield, Chesterfield, Cleckheaton, Leeds and York, and is recruiting students with A levels or expecting results in August, into its trainee accountancy and taxation vacancies in all five offices.   • Calderdale College - updated 4 May 2020
    The college is still accepting applications for apprenticeships, apply online only.
    The college will be conducting interviews online and will be in touch with applicants directly explaining the process. Students will be contacted directly by the admissions team with details, including date, time and method. The college will be making conditional offers, based on applicants meeting the course entry requirements. Currently the college expects enrolment to be 20 August but any changes to this will be notified. The marketing team is supporting students with relevant course information to educate, inform and reassure them.

    Offering free taster sessions to give new learners a better insight into its apprenticeships. The sessions are live and are taken from Estio's apprenticeship programmes and delivered remotely by its trainers. For apprenticeship vacancies and to apply visit www.estio.co.uk/apprenticeships/vacancies. You can choose from across six programmes and in each one you’ll learn about a specific topic or theme. Each session will last about 30 minutes and will be run on Microsoft Teams.     Still accepting new apprentices and have start dates for June and September but it does not recruit students directly. There are also many online course available to enrol on if you are looking to undertake training whilst in lockdown or on furlough.

  • JTL - 4 May 2020
    Interested applicants should apply onlinecomplete the short application form and attempt the seven online modules. JTL will then guide the applicant through its recruitment process, which involves a short telephone discussion and a colour blindness test.     Students should still apply to the college, using the online application form. The apprenticeship recruitment team will then pick this up and try and help you find an employer. To help the college contact you and for the college to make an offer, you should include your your predicted or actual grades, and where you have one, an email address and a mobile phone number - remember to keep checking your email and text messages.
    The college is making conditional offers where it can but some students may need a telephone interview before an offer can be made, the college will contact you to arrange this.
    If you are a student with additional learning support requirements involving an EHC plan – the college will contact you to help you decide what is the right course - any offer will need the support of your local authority. The college is continuing to process apprenticeship applications it receives and work with employers. Where a company is not able to interview at the minute, the team will get in touch with applicants and let them know when the company will be able to interview. The college continues to add students to its ‘bank’ of suitable applicants and will help them create CVs to send out when companies are ready to accept applications.     All of the construction related apprenticeships via KNH have now closed. The rest of the apprenticeships are still available and the closing date has been extended until 3 May 2020.   • Kits - engineering and motor vehicle apprenticeships - updated 4 June 2020
    KITS is not running a traineeship programme this year, instead it is offering an Engineering Study Programme Level 1, leading to an apprenticeship, which it is aiming to start in August 2020. Motor vehicle apprenticeships are due to begin at KITS in September 2020. Applications are being dealt with daily.     Still going ahead with the recruitment of apprentices. Anyone accepted for interview over the telephone should have been contacted by the end of April.
