Are you a child who is looked after or a care leaver?
Need support?
Our careers advisers can give you extra support if you need it
Some of them specialise in supporting children and young people in residential care, foster care or who are leaving care.
If you are in care or leaving care and you're under 18, you will have a 'responsible adult' working with you, such as a social worker or a leaving care personal adviser. They may put you in touch with one of our specialist careers advisers but you can also get in touch with us yourself, you don't have to wait for them to do it for you.
We will help you make plans about your future and when there are changes going on in your life to:
- work out the support you need
- get an apprenticeship, job with training or get into further education, with extra support if you need it
- sort out problems in college, work or training
As a care leaver I don't have parents to support and motivate me. But, I do have my careers adviser with me every step of the way. She is amazing.
