Young person planning for the futureNeed to get started?

Y10Y11There's lots of information to help you think about your future and get planning – check out our Year 10 calendar and Year 11 calendar (61-75kb PDF).

Parents, friends, teachers can offer advice and ideas but do some research yourself. Every year we produce a list of School and college open events and application closing dates 2020/21 aimed at Year 11 but some Year 10 students go along too

Use JED to explore jobs and careers and visit your school or college careers resource area. If you're going on work experience, choose your placement carefully.

Remember a part-time job or voluntary work in Calderdale or Kirklees is useful experience too.
